Our learning environment focuses on exploration, creative risk-taking, collaboration and nurturing distinctive voices, and skilled film talent. Learn from award-winning staff and visiting professionals taking part in masterclasses. Make use of our cutting-edge facilities to achieve your filmmaking goals. Students will develop their creative and professional skills working with a multi award-winning staff of filmmakers and academics. Through a series of projects we will explore different styles of filmmaking and their intersections with new technologies and other storytelling forms. Students will build their voice, skillset and creative portfolio. This practical filmmaking course will place an emphasis on how the power of moving image stories can be used in a socially responsible manner to effect change.

Entry requirements

2:2 honours degree in a Film or a related discipline, such as Photography, AV Media, or Creative Media. All applicants are required to submit a portfolio of work and attend a short interview with the academic team. Candidates whose first language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in all elements) or equivalent.
