Course summary

This course can be studied full-time over 1 year, achieving a Higher National Certificate in Business qualification, or over 2 years, achieving a Higher National Diploma in Business qualification. This course introduces you to a range of business and management subjects, including human resource management, accounting, marketing, business strategy, business environment and events management operations and business planning. You will learn how the subjects tie together to form business strategy and also find out which specialism suits you and your personality. You will have the opportunity to apply your skills to real life business situations and use your abilities to solve business dilemmas. You’ll develop your innovative and entrepreneurial skills, and your personal skills including report writing and presentations, research, individual and group working skills, leadership skills and your self confidence. All of which are vital in any business role. During your studies you will have the opportunity to visit different business organisations. These visits will incur an additional cost.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) MPP
Access to HE Diploma P: 45 credits You are required to achieve 45 credits at Level 3 and 15 credits at Level 2, totalling 60 credits.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) MM

You are required to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above to include English and Maths. We will accept Level 2 equivalences for English and Maths in place of GCSEs. We encourage applications from students who do not meet the entry requirements outlined but can demonstrate ability through work experience, portfolio of evidence or successful interview.
