University of Wales Trinity Saint David has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
The programme provides a vocational education, to prepare students for a career in the Public Services professions. The programme meets the needs of the aspiring uniformed public service officer, support and administrative professionals. Equipping students with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for success and future employment in the public services professions.

Modules
Year 1 provides an introduction to the key public services disciplines, including behavioural dynamics, legal process & criminal law, social theory & policy, public services environment and develops vital employability skills within academic skills and leading self modules. Students have the opportunity to work with an external organisation to see theory in action and acquire valuable skills. Year 2 covers accountability, contemporary issues, equality, diversity & communities, terrorism & public services responses, whilst developing leadership and team building skills through activities. Voluntary work experience opportunities exists and are encouraged, which will be assessed for credits, or students study an employability module.
Assessment method
The course will be assessed by a mixture of written coursework and exams. Each module is worth 20 credits which would equal two assessments per module with the equivalent of a 2000 word assignment or an exam per 10 credits.
