Mathematics underpins all modern science and technology, and mathematicians are in high demand across a variety of fields. With a BSc in Mathematics from York, you can develop valuable skills for careers ranging from finance and IT to weather forecasting and engineering. A level AAB - AAA Essential Subjects: Mathematics (or equivalent) at grade A is essential.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) DDD We consider a range of BTEC qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications. A Level in Mathematics (or equivalent qualification) at grade A is essential. We may also consider relevant units in your BTEC as A Level Mathematics equivalent.
Access to HE Diploma D: 39 credits M: 6 credits Pass Access to HE Diploma with 39 credits at Distinction including at least 9 in Mathematics-related units and 6 at Merit or higher.
Scottish Higher AAAAB - AAAAA Only acceptable in conjunction with Scottish Advanced Highers.
Scottish Advanced Higher AB - AA Acceptable in conjunction with Scottish Highers. Advanced Higher Mathematics at grade A is essential.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme 36 - 35 points With 6 in Higher Level Mathematics.
Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (first teaching September 2015) A - B We will consider this qualification alongside or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications, as equivalent to one A Level.
Extended Project We recognise the value of this qualification although it will not be included as a condition of entry. It may be taken in to consideration when you receive your results.
Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal D3, D3, D3 - D3, D3, M2 Cambridge Pre-U Mathematics at grade D3 is essential.
OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma DDD We consider a range of OCR qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications. A Level in Mathematics (or equivalent qualification) at grade A is essential. We may also consider relevant units in your OCR Cambridge Technical as A Level equivalent.
