TEF Bronze
University of Westminster, London has opted into the TEF and received a Bronze award.
The Tourism and Events Research Group has a strong reputation for high quality research and PhD supervision. We are unique in that our work on tourism and events is focused on the planning and management of spaces and places, rather than more business-oriented perspectives. Staff are interested in in city tourism, airport management, festivals, designing experiences, community-based tourism, tourism in SE Asia and sustainable tourism. We would welcome applications from PhD candidates who share our interest in these themes.

Entry requirements
Applicants should have a minimum classification of 2.1 in their first degree or equivalent and preferably a master's degree (or masters degree pending). Applicants whose first degree has not been studied in English should have IELTS 6.5 overall and 6.0 in all elements. Applicants need to submit a research proposal of 2,000–3,500 words. It should include a title of proposed research, identify discipline and formulate research questions clearly. It should also include proposed research methodology and plan of work and time schedule. References are normally required and if not provided with your application will be requested at a later date.
