Why study BA Accounting and Finance at Middlesex University? BA Accounting and Finance is the ideal first step to becoming a qualified accountant. You can also choose to study Spanish or Mandarin as part of your degree, to ensure you stand out in a competitive job market. Work placements are an invaluable opportunity to gain employability skills so we have introduced two options by which you can integrate into your time at Middlesex. Those who wish to do a placement can take either a 36 week sandwich placement in Year 3 as part of a 4 year degree or two 18 week summer placements allowing you to complete your degree within 3 years. Course highlights Our links with the UK's leading professional bodies, including the ACCA, ICAEW and CIMA ensure that, upon graduation, students receive a number of exemptions from professional exams We cover the costs of students to join the ACCA's Accelerate and CIMA University schemes which gives graduating students associated membership of both bodies, offering further reductions in professional exam fees and access to professional body employability and academic resources, and networking Students will learn to use industry standard accounting programmes, including Sage and OneSource, with the opportunity to gain a CIMA certificate in Sage. Our Financial Markets Lab also gives students access to finance software such as Bloomberg and Datastream
