Course summary
Ancient History involves the study of the history and culture of Greece, Rome and the wider Mediterranean between the 8th century B.C. and the 5th century A.D, with the opportunity to learn Latin and ancient Greek if you wish. You will have the opportunity to visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece as part of your programme . Politics is the study of the way power and influence are distributed within society and how this affects decision making within and among countries and states. You will study a wide variety of topics within the discipline of politics including courses in international relations, political theory and British politics taught by leading researchers in the field.
