This pioneering Politics, Sexuality and Gender degree foregrounds the importance of sexuality and gender in politics, taking an inclusive and intersectional approach. You will study major issues including reproductive politics, trans rights and the rise of ‘anti-gender’ movements. Core modules draw on feminist, queer and trans* theory, giving you a solid knowledge base. Option choices allow you to shape your studies to reflect your interests. You will study key areas of political studies, including political theory, systems and activism, as well as practice-based modules where you develop digital and creative skills whilst addressing global challenges. Placements offers the chance to work with local organisations, such as feminist and LGBTQI+ groups. You will graduate with the knowledge and transferable skills needed to become an active participant in the field. We offer three other politics undergraduate courses.
