This Foundation Degree in Management offers you a flexible professional development programme in management theory and practice. As well as developing your mathematical, data analysis and applied IT skills, it will also enhance your decision-making and interpersonal skills, so you can become a more confident all-round business practitioner. On successful completion of this Foundation Degree, you may progress directly to Year 3 of Birkbeck's BA Management, BA Accounting and Management, or BSc Business. This programme attracts students from both the public and private sectors, including administrators, clerical workers and managers, as well as the self-employed. Our tutorial/seminar sessions give you a chance to interact with your peers and to develop insights into analysing and interpreting a wide and varied subject matter. HIGHLIGHTS

Modules are typically assessed through a combination of coursework or mid-term test and an unseen examination at the end of each term.

Points of entry
The following entry points are available for this course:
- Year 1
If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub-tests. If you don't meet the minimum IELTS requirement, we offer pre-sessional English courses, foundation programmes and language support services to help you improve your English language skills and get your place at Birkbeck.
|GCSE/National 4/National 5||Grade C GCSE-level English and maths are normally required.|
We welcome applicants without traditional entry qualifications as we base decisions on our own assessment of qualifications, knowledge and previous work experience. We may waive formal entry requirements based on judgement of academic potential. ALTERNATIVE ENTRY ROUTES Access to Higher Education Diploma with a minimum of 15 credits achieved at Merit or Distinction in business or accountancy units.
