Course summary
Throughout the course you will develop an understanding and knowledge of the husbandry, housing care and welfare needs of animals, and gain the skills required to undertake a supervisory level job related to the animal care industry. Moreover, this course will provide you with the confidence and ability to be able to work with others in the industry and provide the highest standards of care and welfare for the animals that they may be responsible for. Upon successful completion of this course, students can apply to join year 2 of the HND Animal Care course.
Modules
You will study a wide range of subjects including Small Animal Health and Disease, Animal Welfare, Small Animal Nutrition, Animal Behaviour, Companion Animal Anatomy and Physiology, Companion Animal Handling and First Aid.
