This course is designed for people wanting to pursue a career in the health and social care sector, working with children, young people, adults and the elderly. The modules provide a thorough grounding in community, health and education issues as well as helping you to develop skills in social policies and modern social issues. You’ll learn through a dynamic mix of lectures, tutorials, seminars, group work, reflective accounts and research, and be expected to devote approximately 12 hours per week to independent study. You will be assessed through essays, research projects, presentations and assignments. This is also available as a part time programme.
