Course summary

For an ambitious business management graduate immersed in Chinese language and culture, there are plenty of career options. This is a four-year dual honours course. Your time is split equally between studying the Chinese language and business management. You'll receive intensive language training and we teach Chinese from scratch, so you don't need previous experience. Your business management modules will develop your knowledge of core areas of business management, including marketing, organisational behaviour and strategy. You'll also spend your third year studying the language intensively at Nanjing University in China. This is a great opportunity to make friends and potential business contacts.

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:

No prior knowledge of Chinese is required (up to A Level Chinese is acceptable) Evidence of interest in East Asia (China, Japan, Korea) demonstrated through the personal statement is also required


English language requirements

You must demonstrate that your English is good enough for you to successfully complete your course. For this course we require: GCSE English Language at grade 4/C; IELTS grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component; or an alternative acceptable English language qualification
