Course summary
This programme caters for those interested in law generally but who have not yet identified a particular area of speciality. Thus, this programme allows for flexibility and choice. Students can construct their own programme of law studies drawn from the full range of courses on offer. Students will have the opportunity to enjoy masterclasses from guest speakers/lecturers. Optional classes: World Trading System: Law and Policy, International Investment Law, Financial Crime and Sanctions, Competition Law and Policy in the EU, Context of Construction, European Human Rights Law, EU Environmental Law 1, Financial Regulation and Compliance, International Climate Change Law, International Environmental Law 1, International Human Rights Law, Legal Process and the Law of Contracts & Other Obligations, Mediation in Practice, Justice & Penal Decision Making, Theory and Principles of Conflict Resolution, Law of International Business, Law of the Construction Industry, Negotiation, Oceans Governance and Law of the Sea, Arbitration Law, Business & Human Rights, (Construction) Dispute Resolution, E-Commerce, Global Environmental Law, Homicide, Human Rights Protection in the UK, Cybercrime and Society (conducted fully online), Employment Mediation, Telecommunications Law (conducted fully online), International Migration Law, Privacy, Crime & Security, Childhood & Crime, Restorative Justice.
Assessment method
Assessment will be through a mix of exams and assessments that may be written or practical, depending on the subject.
Entry requirements
First- or upper second-class Honours degree, or overseas equivalent. We'll consider relevant professional experience and/or other relevant contextual information as appropriate. Please note: a Law degree is not a prerequisite for entry to this course.
