This programme has been specifically designed to enable students to enter the industry with the best possible qualifications and experience. You will develop the knowledge and skills you need for a successful career in agriculture through a combination of academic study, practical classes on the College farm, work experience and study visits. This programme provides an in-depth understanding, not only of agricultural production, but of the essential economic, political and environmental issues which are shaping the future of the farming industry.
You will study; Crop and livestock production Impacts of agriculture on the environment and sustainable production systems Machinery Farm account and business principles Agronomy Livestock science Advanced land-based business Investigational project (student’s choice of topic).
