Course Overview On our Neuroscience (Foundation Entry) course you’ll take a multidisciplinary approach to studying how the brain and nervous system work. You’ll receive a solid foundation in science as you develop your knowledge of how we understand and treat neurological disorders and diseases. Why study with us
- The foundation year will provide you with an interesting and stimulating grounding in science.
- The course will enable you to gain key practical skills in our modern, spacious and well-equipped laboratory facilities.
- You’ll learn how the brain and nervous system work to alter behaviour, perception, mood and memory.
- Enhance your practical skills with a variety of hands-on Biology and Chemistry laboratory sessions and Physics workshops.
- Neuroscience is literally the 'science of the brain' and you’ll develop knowledge from a wide range of disciplines including biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology and psychology.
- You can use this foundation year as an opportunity to get to know other foundation students on different science-based degree programmes.
