Laws are rules that regulate a society, but also rules that are the product of that society. All law, including that relating to the identification and punishment of crime, is shaped by contemporary and historic social, political, and economic factors. In this programme, you will engage with the key principles and doctrines underlying English, European and International law, paying particular attention to crime and criminal justice alongside a firm grounding in criminological theory and methodology. These two disciplines combine to provide you with both a theoretical and practical understanding of contemporary issues in law and criminal justice, that will equip you for a wide range of careers. About Keele Keele University was established in 1949 by the former Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University.
