Course summary

This programme will equip you with the knowledge and skills for a range of technical and management careers in the electrical/electronic engineering industry, working for manufacturing, design, pharmaceutical, service industries or offshore oil and gas companies. You will study modules that focus on areas such as analytical methods for engineers, project design, electrical and electronic principles, engineering science, plus other specialist topics that meet the demands of local industry. This programme is delivered one day a week so if you are already employed in the industry you can attend on a day release basis. What’s next? You take up employment within the sector or progress to an HND.

Entry requirements

Qualification requirements

Non-standard entry: BTEC National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or A-Level in Maths or an appropriate science-based subject plus an additional A-Level in any subject. Additional requirements: Five GCSEs at grade 5/C or above, including maths and science.
