Digital Marketing (including a Foundation Year) at University of Chester - UCAS

Course summary

Succeed in an increasingly digital world. Explore the latest digital technologies. Innovate and create solutions for real digital marketing challenges. Digital Marketing is something you cannot learn from textbooks. You need hands-on experience. This course is designed exactly for this purpose. Right from the start, you will work on real, live digital projects, developing the skills needed to excel in this fast-paced industry. Everything you study is done alongside the development of hands-on digital marketing skills. You will be looking at solutions to digital marketing challenges for organisations from small companies and charities through to leading multinationals. At Chester, you will gain not only valuable experiences, you will also develop an outstanding professional portfolio that you can showcase to your future employers. You will learn marketing fundamentals alongside practical application, build and launch your own website, explore the digital marketer’s toolkit, including social media, mobile, virtual and augmented reality, and you have the option to undertake a five-week work placement, or even a year-long placement. You will look at the exciting developments in digital marketing technology that will impact upon the future of marketing, including mixed reality, understanding big data, and smart technologies, and you will carry out an original supervised research project into a subject you select. Foundation Year courses have been designed for students who do not have the necessary academic qualifications needed to enter directly into the first year of a degree but who have the ability and commitment to do so. Once the Foundation Year has been completed successfully, you can then go on to complete your degree.
