Course summary
The BSc (Hons) in Sport, Fitness and Wellbeing (Top-up) will further enhance critical thinking skills while developing an understanding of nutrition, anatomy and physiology, psychology and industry skills for sport, fitness and wellbeing. An independent research project will also be completed, allowing students to progress their development by investigating a relevant topic in depth. The BSc (Hons) in Sport, Fitness and Wellbeing (Top-up) is a University of Derby validated course. The course provides an excellent progression route for those of have completed the Sport, Fitness and Wellbeing FdSc. Those who have completed a Foundation Degree or a Higher National Diploma in a relevant subject may also consider studying this course to improve career prospects both locally and nationally. During the Sport, Fitness and Wellbeing BSc (Hons) (Top-up) you will complete the following: Independent Research Project (40 credits) Psychology of Lifestyle Management (20 credits) Specialised Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise and Performance (20 credits) Professional Industry Skills Development (20 credits) Nutritional Interventions for Sport, Fitness and Wellbeing (20 credits)

Qualification requirements
HND (BTEC) - M
To enrol on the Sport, Fitness and Wellbeing BSc (Hons) (Top-up), you will need a Level 5 qualification or equivalent: Pass an FdSc Sport, Fitness and Wellbeing programme A relevant Level 5 qualification with a minimum of 240 credits M profile on a relevant BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) Level 2 qualification or above in English and Maths (e.g. GCSE or Functional Skills) Your offer to study with us will be conditional as all applications are to be approved by the University of Derby. All applications are subject to approval by the University of Derby (UoD). In order for the University to approve your application we are required to share your personal information. This includes sharing the application form that you have completed to study this course, and in some instances, copies of your maths, English and highest-level qualification certificate.
