Course summary

This is a four year programme that will allow you to qualify in two fields of nursing. Your first field will be learning disability nursing. The aim of learning disability nursing is to place the service user at the centre of all decision making, therefore, teaching methods involve the inclusion of service users and carers in classroom settings and practice placements. You will also be taught by academics who are registered nurses with a wealth of skills, knowledge and expertise in their field of nursing and research. Your second field will be one of the following: adult nursing; child nursing; mental health nursing. You will be asked to indicate your second field preferences once your application has been received.

Qualification requirements

Applicants must have GCSE Maths and English at grade C (grade 4) or above, or equivalent. A Level General Studies accepted; Welsh Baccalaureate accepted alongside A Levels/BTEC/OCRs. Please note that applicants must also have evidence of recent study within the last 5 years.
