Module A: Process and Practice (Year 1) Assessment 1: Concept and Development (85 Credits) This unit covers the history, theory, and key techniques of stage and screen acting. You'll study methods like Stanislavski and Meisner, develop character and script analysis skills, and build confidence in voice, movement, and emotion through practical workshops. The unit also explores the social and professional contexts of performance. Assessment 2: Creative Project (35 Credits) You’ll apply your learning through a live or recorded project, involving research, rehearsal, and performance of a scripted or devised piece. The unit also covers casting, representation, and the business of acting. Assessment 2: Professional Project (75 Credits) In this unit, you’ll create and perform a major acting project — such as a stage production, short film, or devised piece. You’ll lead the process from concept to performance, incorporating feedback, managing rehearsals, and meeting industry standards. This final work showcases your range, technique, and professional readiness. Year 3 MODULE 1: CRITICAL RESEARCH (15 CREDITS) Explore acting through academic and practical research. Develop essential skills in reflection and problem-solving that prepare you for the final project.
