Course summary

This mathematics and computing degree gives you a solid understanding of mathematical methods with core computing skills and the ability to apply them to real-life problems. Our mathematics courses are highly regarded, we are ranked 3rd in the UK in Mathematics for Student Satisfaction (Complete University Guide, 2022). Our degree in mathematics and computing is designed to develop your skills in advanced programming and software engineering as well as in mathematics and computing software tools. You will also explore logical analysis, deduction and mathematical modelling and gain the skills to apply these to computer systems. This degree also explores cutting edge topics such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, and provides students with the skills necessary to pursue careers in these exciting contemporary fields.
