Course summary

This programme is designed for students who wish to develop their careers in the field of public health practice, management or research, as well as practitioners and managers already in the field, who wish to enhance their career development. The range of optional modules offered and the breadth of cases used across the programme will provide opportunities for specialism in the global and local context. Modules

Core modules: Evidence based practice; project report; public health foundations; public health research and epidemiology. Optional modules: Communicable and non-communicable conditions; work-based learning in health and medical practice; promoting health; leadership for public health practice.


Entry requirements

A recent 2.2 Honours degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent (e.g. Honours degree from the UK) or equivalent. Or relevant experience in the area public health may be considered in place of a degree. GCSE (or equivalent) in mathematics with minimum grade C. All students from non-majority English speaking countries require proof of English language proficiency. The following qualifications and grades will be considered: GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language grade A-C.IELTS 7.0 (with no less than 6.5 in any band).
