If you're passionate about business, take the first step into higher education with our Accounting and Finance with Foundation Year course. Our BSc Accounting and Finance degree gives you a solid grounding in the challenges of managing organisations, information technology and analytical skills alongside finance and accounting fundamentals. The foundation year will help you to broaden your industry knowledge and enable you to progress to a related undergraduate degree. It aims to help you develop a strong foundation of business knowledge, alongside academic and transferable skills to ensure you get the most out of your degree-level studies. Guest speakers are regularly invited to share their knowledge with our students, and offered the chance to connect with businesses. Professional accreditation Our accounting course gives maximum exemptions through accredited modules. Accounting at Christ Church holds all available exemptions from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and the majority of exemptions from Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).If you plan to pursue a professional accounting qualification post-graduation, the exemptions expedite your chosen professional qualification, and appeal to prospective employers. The Business School has accreditation with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). The year two modules of Management and Leadership, Project Management, Management Accounting and Human Resource Management are accredited by the CMI and on successful completion you will be eligible for CMI Level 5 qualifications in Leadership and Management. Specialist facilities You can test your skills in a real business environment in our Bloomberg Trading Room, which recreates the high-energy City of London trading environment. This will give you the opportunity learn the language of finance, discover the inner workings of the markets, and stand out to recruiters with "Bloomberg Certification" Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) on your CV. This is free for our students and you can take this during your studies. Location This course is run at our Canterbury Campus in Kent. Canterbury is just 50 miles south-east of London and less than an hour by high-speed train from St Pancras. Located on a UNESCO World Heritage Site the campus offers state-of-the-art buildings, right in the centre of a vibrant and world-famous cathedral city. You’ll benefit from a campus with excellent learning and teaching resources, music venues, a superb sports centre, a well-stocked bookshop and plenty of coffee bars and places to eat. A short walk away is Augustine House our award-winning library and home to a vast range of learning resources and student support teams.

Home (UK) Fees Home (UK) tuition fees for Foundation Years at Canterbury Christ Church University will be set in line with the maximum tuition fee cap for foundation years in classroom-based subjects or non-classroom-based subjects, as set by the UK Government. Home (UK) tuition fees for subsequent years 1-3 are currently set in line with the maximum tuition fee cap for standard undergraduate degrees set by the UK Government. The Government has announced that it will increase the tuition fee cap by 3.1%, in line with inflation, for the 2025/26 academic cycle. Subject to parliamentary approval, the University intends to increase our tuition fees in line with this and as per our terms and conditions. This means that from September 2025 onwards, our undergraduate home tuition fees for subsequent years of study are expected to be £9,535. International Tuition Fees (including EU fees) Undergraduate tuition fees for International students are not subject to the Government’s regulations on maximum tuition fees.
