Course summary

Psychology is the scientific study of mind, brain and behaviour. Here at York, we teach psychology as a rigorous experimental biological science. Our exciting and innovative four year MSci course allows you to engage fully with the theories, perspectives, and methods that are used to study the mind, the brain, and behaviour, while developing your practical, high-level skills in empirical investigation and scientific data analysis. It will equip you with advanced training in research methods, statistics and specialisation in one of three pathways at the forefront of contemporary behavioural science. These pathways are:

  • Clinical Psychology
  • Developmental Disorders
  • Neuroscience and Neuroimaging
