The Early Years foundation degree is designed for practitioners who work with young children in a range of pre-school and nursery settings, and have experience of this sector. The course is delivered at the following Oxford Brookes partner colleges:
- Abingdon and Witney College
- Solihull College
- New College Swindon.
We offer a route into higher education for practising early years workers. Over a two-year period a substantial amount of your learning will take place in your workplace through the planned and supported tasks and projects we will set you. You will undertake study in areas such as child development, communication, language and literacy, inclusion, health, and management issues in early years. You will take a series of modules during regular classes at college. In this way, you gain access to the theory and debate while remaining rooted in your everyday work with young children.
