Are you looking to excel in a sporting industry which boasts global career opportunities? The sport industry is a rapidly growing business and needs people with well-rounded skillsets who can apply their knowledge of sport to the business side of the industry. Providing a grounding in key management principles and how to apply them in the context of the sporting world, the MSc Management (Sport) at Swansea equips you with vital skills and knowledge essential for the next generation of sports organisation leaders. Our programme focuses on the management of sport, including key duties of sports organisations to employees and stakeholders as well as regulations concerning critical issues such as safeguarding, inclusion, anti-doping and event manipulation. You will also critically evaluate core ethical and integrity issues in sport and how to practice good governance, nationally and internationally, from a theoretically informed and practice-relevant standpoint. In addition, you will learn about management in an interconnected global community as well as core management concepts such as managing financial resources, operations management, human resource management and marketing management to give you a solid grounding in a range of dynamic business principles. Accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) the only chartered professional body in the UK dedicated to promoting the highest standards in management and leadership excellence, the course is open to students from any discipline who would like to work in business or management. Upon successful completion of the relevant mapped modules within the MSc Management you will qualify for CMI’s Level seven Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership.
