Course summary

Explore theories behind neuroscience, compare real human brains from our brain bank and develop the professional skills you need for your career. On this course, we’ll cover the key areas of psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience and neurology. Then you’ll delve deeper into the area that interests you and carry out research with leading experts in the field. Key benefits

Please note that the two year part-time programme runs on alternate years. The next intake will be September 2020. Teaching You’ll never have to rely on a textbook at King’s. All of our teaching team carry out their own research, so you’ll always be up to speed with the latest thinking in the field. One day, you might be listening to someone who has recently given a TED talk on a ground-breaking topic. Another day, you might be listening to an academic who has just published a paper in a leading journal. We focus on developing your practical skills too. For example, you’ll examine human brains from our Brain Bank, comparing healthy and unhealthy examples.


Entry requirements

The normal minimum entry requirements are an undergraduate degree with 2:1 honours in a biological discipline; or a a medical degree (MBBS or international equivalent). Applicants with a non-biological degree or with a lower class may be considered.
