You understand that the marketers and innovators are those who create new products, services, and ideas, get people excited about them, and thus help to fulfill customer needs from having something healthy to eat, through outfitting their homes, to giving to a cause and finding a partner online. Term 1: Marketing Fundamentals; Marketing Strategy & Practice; Creativity. Innovation. Design; Essentials of Accounting & Finance; Customer Insight & Market Research. Term 2: Analytical Methods for Marketing; Consumer Behaviour; Brand Management & Communication; Digital Marketing & Social Media. Term 3: Core Module 1: Product Innovation Management; Core Module 2: Business Sustainability. Route 1 Electives: Ethics, Society and the Finance Sector; Mergers and Acquisitions; Air Transport; Retail Supply Chain Management; Six Sigma for Managers; Family Business; High Growth Entrepreneurship; Innovation in Organisations; Strategic Risk & Control; International Sponsorship & Public Relations. Fashion Brand Management; New Market Creation; Political Risk Management; Lean to Green Supply Chain; Procurement (Taught in a block format in Mannheim); Start - ups: International field trip (Taught in Buenos Aires). Route 2: Business Research Project

Assessment method

Term 1 consists of a series of core modules. Across the term two modules in Consumer Behaviour, Brand Management and Communication Strategies and Digital Marketing & Social Media, our MSc in Marketing Strategy and Innovation students crowdfund an idea, start-up business, or social cause in 30 days, therein integrating learning and achieving a tangible outcome. All students complete two core modules (Product Innovation Management and Business Sustainability) in term three. They can then choose to take either three electives or a Business Research Project. Students have the option of completing a Business Research Project, which in some cases may be completed in partnership with a sponsoring organisation. The Project will be of approximately 8,000 words.


Entry requirements

Designed as a conversion course for people with no or little marketing education and experience, If you have taken 0-3 basic marketing courses in prior study programmes this new MSc programme is right for you. If you have worked in junior marketing positions, taking this course will help you move ahead, If you have, however, specialised in marketing in prior studies, or worked in strategic marketing positions for several years, our MBA programme will be the better fit for you. Degree Level: A UK 2.1 or above, or the equivalent from an overseas institution, We accept applications from all academic backgrounds References: Applicants will need to submit two references, one of which MUST be an academic reference. English Requirements: If you have been studying in the UK for the last three years it is unlikely that you will have to take the test, If you have studied a 2+2 degree with just two years in the UK you will be required to provide IELTS results and possibly to resit the tests to meet our requirements. IELTS: The required IELTS level is an average of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in writing. Please note that due to changes in the UKVI's list of SELTs we are no longer able to accept TOEFL as evidence of English language for students who require a CAS as of April 2014. Work Experience: No work experience is required for this Masters as it is designed for students just beginning their careers. If you have work experience you can include details on your CV, which is required with all applications.
