This course studies the aspects of computing that have a practical impact on business and everyday life. It particularly focuses on the hands-on professional aspects of computing, and aims to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to gain employment and develop as a professional. Computing with Networks / Software Development can lead to a wide range of roles including: Web designer/developer; Game/software developer; IT project manager; Network designer/administrator; Helpdesk support; IT consultant. You could also opt to continue your education and ‘top up’ to a full honours degree at Chesterfield College in computing.
You will study: Software Design and Modelling, Programming and Testing, Dynamic Websites, Virtualisation, Web Applications, Programming and Systems.
