Why Applied Artificial Intelligence? On our Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) degree, you’ll create ground-breaking intelligent software to solve complex real-world problems, as you discover how to make computers learn. Exploring topics including mathematics, programming, data analytics and robotics, you’ll develop expertise in a highly technical, dynamic and growing sector with the potential to revolutionise the way we live. You’ll gain a detailed understanding of data flows within organisations and systems and how data can be engineered to produce knowledge, learning from experienced professionals active in the AI research community. Working in our state-of-the-art AI computer labs, you’ll use the latest software such as Python, R, C#, C++, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, Unity, Visual Studio and Jupyter notebooks, on a course supported by the UK’s Institute of Coding. Placement opportunities enable you to work with practitioners in real-world settings, gaining skills, experience and contacts invaluable for your future career. Grade C/4 in GCSE English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent) are normally required.
