Newcastle College University Centre has opted into the TEF and received a Silver award.
This exciting and innovative course has been designed to expand and develop the skills of a qualified aesthetician or advanced beauty therapist. You’ll gain valuable experience and be challenged to develop your skills to higher levels, studying the practical and underpinning knowledge of the aesthetic treatments available in skin clinics. This unique programme will allow you to specialise in skin treatments for complex skin conditions such as laser tattoo removal, active acne treatments, dermaplaning and chemical peels. You will learn from industry experienced tutors who have specialised in aesthetic treatments. You will undertake training in dermaplaning, as well as receiving a subscription to the Aesthetics Journal. You may wish to progress academically on to an appropriate Masters qualification, or you may decide to seek employment within the beauty and aesthetics industry as an Aesthetic Practitioner, Senior Aesthetician, Aesthetic Clinic Manager, Lecturer, Brand Representative, Brand Trainer or Business Owner.
Advanced Laser Techniques, Aesthetic Physiology, Epidermal Trauma Management, Project/Dissertation.
You will learn in a variety of ways including lectures, group work, seminars and practical skill development. You will be assessed in a number of ways including a research project, reports, presentations (individual and group) and practical case-studies.
