The Higher National Certificate (HNC) is a level 4 qualification made up of 120 credits. This course is suitable for those wishing to work within a health and social care environment, and will prepare you for practice under Care Quality Commission jurisdiction. In additionl to the academic units delivered at College, you will need to complete at least 225 hours of an industry placement in a suitable health or social care workplace. Core modules: Law, Policy and Ethical practice in Health and Social Care Demonstrating Professional Principles and Values in Health and Social Care Practice Mental Health and Wellbeing: A Whole Person Approach Fundamentals of Evidence-Based Practice. This course will equip you with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for employment in the industry at a supervisory or management level, through a flexible choice of units depending on your career goal. You will develop the knowledge and academic study skills required for progression to university degree courses. Including research, analysis, critical thinking and competence and capability in practice-based skills in the workplace.
