We provide intellectually stimulating training in analytical and problem-solving skills, and a thorough knowledge of the legal system and all essential legal subjects. You can take part in our pro bono scheme, winner of the Solicitors Pro Bono Group national award, to gain hands-on experience. The School is home to the Centre for Legal Research and Policy Studies which ensures your knowledge is underpinned by the latest research thinking.

Course details

Modules

Our options enable you to specialise in topics of most interest to you, while ensuring you have an appreciation of the relationships between substantive law, practice, theory and the insights of other disciplines. Year 1 modules include Contract Law, Foundational Legal Skills and Legal Method. Years 2 and 3 options include Employment, Environmental and Family Law. Practical techniques in client counselling and advocacy are developed and research skills are taught on the Advanced Legal Method module.
