As a Digital and Technology Solutions graduate, you will have the option of progressing into careers such as cyber security analyst, data or systems analyst or engineer, IT consultant or technician, network or software engineer or web developer. Digital technologies are now a fundamental part of all sectors of commerce and industry. Underpinning this is the continual need to design and develop technological solutions to a broad range of ever-evolving problems. This encompasses a range of digital and communications-based solutions centred on the acquisition, storage, manipulation, retrieval and dissemination of data. As a student on this programme, you will be able to identify and specialise in your own chosen area of IT, through undertaking bespoke development projects and creating a full independent portfolio. Through undertaking these modules, you will research, practice, and develop your skills relating to Databases and Data Analytics, Software Development or Networking, applying these skills in creating practical deliverables that will allow you to showcase your valuable skills and knowledge to employers This course will consider the understanding that the IT industry is one that develops at a rapid pace, with yearly innovations applied across a range of sectors. You will undertake future-proof modules that will develop and hone your skills, placing not a focus not just upon developing existing knowledge, but conducting research into current innovations, and potential future innovations Students will have to opportunity to utilise the new purpose built IOT IT suites featuring powerful Alienware workstations, as well as gaining use of the additional hardware and peripherals the department has, such as the Augmented and Virtual Reality equipment (Vive, Oculus, Rift, HoloLens). By undertaking this programme, you will be able to gain valuable skills that will allow you to enter the IT industry across a variety of entry level roles, including but not being limited to the following:

Qualification requirements
Students will be required to have successfully completed 240 credits from on a Computing or IT related foundation degree programme or equivalent. As well as current student intake, the programme is open to students who has successfully completed a Foundation Degree programme relating to Information Technologies or Computer Science.
