Course summary

Aerospace engineers are working worldwide on the design of aeroplanes, helicopters, drones and satellites, and solving complex engineering challenges from aerodynamics to propulsion. Their work can improve air travel safety, reduce emissions, enhance satellite communications, and even support disaster relief efforts. On our Aerospace Engineering BEng(Hons) degree you’ll work with other engineering students and innovative researchers on challenging and rewarding projects including fighting robots, rocket cars, and the international Engineering Without Borders challenge. Additional fee information

Please note that the £13,842 international fee is for classroom based courses and provisional for 2023. For lab based courses a higher fee of £14,892 applies. EU students will be charged international fees unless they have settled status awarded by the UK Government's Settlement Scheme. Further tuition fees are payable for each subsequent year of study and are subject to an annual increase of no more than 5% or RPI (whichever is the greater). The annual increase for UK/EU students, who are subject to regulated fees, will increase no more than the statutory maximum fee. The tuition fee you have to pay depends on a number of factors including the kind of course you take, and whether you study full-time or part-time. If you are studying part-time you will normally be charged on a pro rata basis depending on the number of modules you take. If your course includes a sandwich year option you will pay a reduced fee during this year; £1,370 for home students and £2,120 for international students. You may have to pay additional costs during your studies. The cost of optional activities is not included in your tuition fee and you will need to meet this cost in addition to your fees.
