Why do some businesses thrive where others fail? How do we turn an idea into sales and profit? On our business and management degree, you’ll learn about managing and developing people whilst exploring what it takes to build successful businesses. Not all businesses are created equally. There’s no one size fits all approach. As you uncover the strategy and structure of organisations, you’ll learn how businesses stay flexible and adapt to changing markets locally and internationally. Studying our business and management degree, you’ll uncover the fundamentals of modern business. You’ll develop skills in accountancy and managing people. Marketing practices will allow you to understand and grow your customer base. While business ethics, law, and economics will give you the knowledge to navigate the commercial world safely. During this course, you’ll get hands-on with the opportunity to start your own business. You can also work on live client projects, and put your new skills into practice in the real world. Develop the key transferable skills and subject-specific knowledge in this integrated four year programme.

Assessment method
On the Foundation Year you will be assessed through a range of methods to prepare you for your study beyond this foundation year. This will include written assignments, coursework, presentations and class-tests. Throughout the rest of the programme there is a combination of different forms of assessment to test intellectual development, vocational capability and critical thinking. Coursework involves individual and group-based activities, case studies and problem-solving exercises. Examinations take a variety of forms, using both seen and unseen questions.
