(Subject to Approval) This foundation degree will provide you with the strong understanding of the law, focusing on law within the business environment, alongside aspects of business and management organisations. This foundation degree has been designed with input from local employers, which ensures that it develops the skills required in industry today, and therefore enhances your employability by enabling you to immediately transition into working life. Modules within the curriculum are intended to provide you with the skills you will need, and allow you to relate theory to practice in order to prepare for the challenges you may face in your future career.
Each module is worth a specified number of credits enabling you to cover enabling you to cover key subject knowledge while developing your own interests. For full time students a total of 120 credits will be studied in each academic year. For part time students it will depend on the intensity of your studies. Year 1 Modules: Developing Research and Practice; Business Finance and Economics; Organisational Behaviour; Principles of Management; English Legal System; Human Resource Management. Year 2 Modules: Research Project; Contract and Employment Law; Introduction to Criminological Theory; Tort Law.
