Course summary
In this course you'll develop the practical and critical skills needed for a practicing photographer. Guest lectures and workshop sessions are an essential element, with opportunities for business, entrepreneurship and enterprise activities. A self-directed approach to your studies will allow you to tailor your portfolio towards your own photographic interests. During the fourth year of this course, you'll focus on and develop your skills and knowledge towards your own photographic goals. Over two years, you'll study both practical photography and critical thinking. Subjects will include: Research Projects Creative Photography Projects Self-promotion This Photography degree is delivered by City of Glasgow College and validated by University of the West of Scotland. Facilities The City of Glasgow College has recently benefited from a £230 million new build programme with state-of-the-art facilities across two sites, City campus and Riverside. The Faculty of Creative Industries is based in the City Campus at Cathedral Street, which has excellent travel, bus and train links. The Creative Industries faculty benefits from a broad range of specialist workshops, studio spaces and dedicated exhibition spaces. These are equipped with industry standard resources and supported by specialist technical staff.
