Course summary

This course is taught at Richmond, The American International University in London (Richmond Business School), the only university in Britain that awards two degrees in one – US- and UK-taught postgraduate degrees. The MA Luxury Brand Management is offered in conjunction with our partner Richmond Business School and utilises the knowledge and expertise of Condé Nast Publications. The programme aims to encourage students to develop their commercial skills and entrepreneurial talent while expanding their leadership qualities, and critical and strategic thinking. The MA Luxury Brand Management degree focuses on emerging trends in luxury brands, marketing strategy and management case studies, delivered in an interactive classroom environment. It provides inspirational lectures from notable alumni and industry professionals, as well as a chance to visit the headquarters of some of the leading luxury brands and fashion houses in London. For more than 100 years, Condé Nast Publications has been synonymous with engaging, visually arresting, innovative publishing with a focus on luxury. Titles such as Tatler, GQ, The World of Interiors and Vogue all work closely with their luxury-brand advertisers and our contract-publishing division creates content for some of the world’s leading luxury brands such as Ferrari, Swarovski, Mercedes-Benz and Mandarin Oriental Hotels.

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:

Entry requirements

The standard entry requirements for this course are: UK first degree with minimum second class honours (2:2 or above) US Degree with a minimum CGPA of between 2.5 and 3.0 or international equivalent. The University accepts a wide range of international undergraduate degree award qualifications.

Additional fee information

- There is an optional New York study trip abroad that is not covered by the course fee, estimated at £1,200. This takes place in the spring and further information is provided at the start of the course. - Final Graduate Exhibition - the costs depend fully on the student project and could range from a couple of hundred pounds to a thousand.
