Turning your passion for sport into a rewarding career, this degree equips you with the knowledge and skills to implement and manage contemporary sports programmes and events in local, national and international settings. Based on the professional standards of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity, the programme offers a student-centred experience that combines academic studies with applied work experience in real-world settings. Assessment method

Assessments are both individual and team-based and enable you to develop your presentation skills through applied sports management tasks, including those undertaken in the real world and with industry partners. These tasks include the writing of essays and project reports. There will be critical appraisals of management and organisational strategies, evaluations of management practices, preparation of presentations, the planning and delivery of practical sessions, developing portfolios of evidence linked to professional standards, and undertaking a piece of original independent research.

Qualification requirements

As long as you have a minimum of two A Levels (or equivalent), there is no maximum number of qualifications that we will accept UCAS points from. This includes additional qualifications such as the Welsh Baccalaureate and Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), AS Levels that haven’t been continued to A Level, and General Studies AS or A Level awards.
