Assessment method
There are nine modules in the taught phase of this programme. six from the Electronic Engineering department and three from the Computer Science department. Modules will be taught primarily in lectures with some seminar work. A proportion of work will be set to do outside of the classroom, including project and group work, and other modules will require additional reading prior to the next lecture. All students are assigned a personal tutor who works with them in providing academic advice and pastoral support throughout their degree. The majority of the assessments are coursework based with a mixture of group and individual pieces, and students will complete a dissertation project. If you choose to study part-time the programme usually takes 2 years. However part time students may complete their programme of study over a period of up to 5 years.

Additional fee information
These tuition fees apply to students enrolled on a full-time basis. Students studying on the standard part-time course structure over two years are charged 50% of the full-time applicable fee for each study year.
All postgraduate fees are subject to inflationary increases. Please be aware that tuition fees can rise during your degree (if longer than one year’s duration). This means that the overall cost of studying the course part-time will be slightly higher than studying it full-time in one year.
