Course summary

Gain the knowledge and skills required for a career in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. This course will give you the opportunity to improve your knowledge and keep up with the latest developments in the industry. The course will develop your understanding of key aspects of electrical and electronics engineering, and explore how they fit into the context of industrial sectors and rapidly-developing everyday applications. You’ll address the challenges, problems and solutions involved in electrical and electronics engineering in modern industry, including optimal and intelligent electronic system design and development, and engineering operation and management. You’ll study and research new approaches in this field, and apply them to both real-world and research-orientated problems. You will have the chance to work as both an individual and as part of a team on projects and topics including artificial intelligence, smart industrial robots, sensing and embedded systems, smart mechanical systems and products, intelligent industrial inspection, biomedical applications and surgical robotics. This course has been designed for students interested in developing their careers in both theoretical and practical areas of electrical and electronic engineering. It also prepares students wishing to continue their study to doctorial level research. Entry requirements

- BSc or BEng (min Honours 2:2) in general engineering, electrical, electronics, mechanics or computing - IELTS (6 average or equivalents) for international students
