Overview Get qualified as a teacher while you teach on this apprenticeship scheme. Developed with local council support, this course offers a direct route to qualified teacher status for teachers in Portsmouth, Hampshire and West Sussex. You can follow an apprenticeship to become a teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, Maths, English, Geography, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology. You'll need to have an unqualified teacher role in a Secondary school, or an offer of one, for the duration of your apprenticeship. Recognition Successful completion of this course will lead to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Entry requirements

A good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject. A minimum of 2:1 is desirable although applicants with other qualifications or valuable experience will also be considered. All shortlisted applicants are subject to interview. All offers are subject to Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance and Occupational Health clearance.
