Cyber security is how we reduce the risk of criminals attacking us online. As our personal details are increasingly being stored on laptops, phones, and computers, protecting ourselves through cyber security has never been so important. Our cyber security degree, is delivered in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AWS-Educate - a global initiative providing cloud-learning resources to students and educators. The course is designed in such a way that it will provide you with the flexibility and agility needed to keep pace with technological developments of today. You will gain first-hand knowledge and understanding of the industry-standard tools and practices for cyber security as this course covers a range of technologies including; computer forensics, secure programming, networking and operating systems, and ethical hacking. You will be equipped with a strong understanding of cyber security through case studies, laboratories, workshops, and online resources. And, you will have access to state of the art tools, and taught the latest methodologies. Once you’ve graduated you’ll be well-versed in a host of skills to work in this sector - you will be able to evaluate cyber security issues, recognise best practices, and analyse and evaluate possible solutions to overcome any potential threats. *This course is subject to validation for September 2020 entry.

Assessment method
You will be taught through a combination of lectures, tutorials and practical classes. Further into the programme you will work on projects that involve developing systems and doing experimental work with guidance from your supervisor and industry connections.
