Course summary
Study MSc Conservation Leadership (online) to gain essential skills for leading conservation projects. This flexible distance learning course allows you to balance your studies with other commitments. You'll get practice-based experience in project management and be equipped with the theoretical, personal, and practical skills needed to advance your career as a conservation leader. Led by experts at Bristol Zoological Society and UWE Bristol, you’ll get involved in live conservation efforts and have the opportunity to shadow a Conservation Project Leader for six months. This will give you valuable leadership and remote project management skills. This course will prepare you for decision-making roles in the wildlife conservation sector. You'll enhance your skills through real-world scenarios and assessments, covering project design, budgeting, long-term sustainability, governance, ethics, and culturally sensitive communication. The skills you’ll gain can also be applied to leadership positions in the sustainability and climate change sectors. Conserving our planet's diverse species, habitats, and ecosystems in an ethical and socially responsible manner is one of today's greatest challenges. This course addresses a leadership skill gap in the sector and will give you the skills needed to tackle these challenges effectively. You’ll graduate equipped to lead impactful conservation projects and make a difference.
Entry requirements
Applicants will have a good honours degree (minimum 2:2) in a subject which contains a core grounding in conservation, environmental and related science, or equivalent. Your qualification will be from a UK or recognised overseas institution
