The Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Applied Sciences is designed to address an increasing need for high quality professional and technical education pathways, providing students with a stimulating and challenging programme of study that will be both engaging and memorable. This qualification will provide you with the essential subject knowledge needed to progress successfully into further study or into the world of work. Successful completion of the HNC in Applied Sciences can enable you to enter year 2 on a range of Biology/Chemistry related degrees. This HE course provide opportunities for you to enter employment in the Applied Sciences or the chance to progress on to further study.
Modules
You will undertake a core of learning in Applied Science: Fundamentals of Laboratory Techniques Scientific data handling approaches and techniques Regulation and Quality in the Applied Sciences Managing Scientific Projects As well as the opportunity to complete units to specialise in your desired Science related pathway - Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, or Food Science, Technology & Nutrition
