Course Information If you aspire to be a versatile, creative, and technically skilled performer, our BA (Hons) Musical Theatre degree offers the perfect blend of professional training, industry experience, and performance opportunities to launch your career. This exciting course combines in-depth vocal coaching, acting techniques, and technical dance training across jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, pas de deux, and commercial styles. You’ll also develop essential skills in music theory, choral singing, choreography, acting through song, and audition preparation, ensuring you are fully equipped for the demands of the performing arts industry. Performance is at the heart of the programme. You’ll showcase your talents in full-scale musical productions, agent showcases, dance exhibitions, and major festivals such as the Edinburgh and Brighton Fringe. External opportunities include cabaret performances, corporate events, voiceover work, and short films, giving you real-world experience and industry exposure. Our state-of-the-art facilities include 11 rehearsal studios (five with sprung dance floors and mirrors) and a professional-standard theatre equipped with cutting-edge lighting and sound systems. Collaboration is central to the course, providing unique opportunities to work with students in make-up, costume, props, dance, music, and technical theatre to create fully realised productions. You’ll be taught by a dynamic team of industry professionals, including performers, directors, and choreographers, and benefit from exclusive workshops with West End and Broadway artists. Alumni have gone on to perform in West End productions, UK tours, TV, film, and cruise ship entertainment, as well as creative roles across the industry. **Modules Year One**

Qualification requirements

Individual offer conditions will vary. Offers normally consist of successful completion of your current course, which can include a relevant A Level or Level 3 Extended Diploma. Industry experience may also be taken into account.

Additional entry requirements

Audition

You will perform two musical theatre songs which must be sung unaccompanied. If you consider dance to be one of your strengths, we would also like to see a 1.5 minute dance.

For international applicants - To provide IELTS for UKVI certificate 6.0 overall and 6.0 in writing with no less than 5.5 in all sub elements.
