Gain the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in management in an increasingly global business environment with this programme which will take you from new student to future business leader. The journey begins from day one. As finance, socio-economic factors, politics, geography, language and culture all influence business, you’ll begin the programme with an exploration of how these can help shape business strategy within an international marketplace. Like our other undergraduate programmes at Richmond, our BA in Business Management is based on the American liberal arts tradition, which helps broaden perspective and develops practical skills which are highly appealing to future employers in a global economy. You’ll also have the benefit of studying one programme and gaining two degrees, one from the US and one from the UK. Complementary membership of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) is also offered to all of our students. In the third and fourth year, you’ll be able to take your pick from topics which particularly appeal to you, such as Modern China, The Global Investor, Operations Management and International Finance. Renowned and highly qualified business leaders are invited to speak to our BA International Business students, sharing their experience within the industry, while visits to organisations and museums enhance experiential learning. You’ll also be able to tailor your International Business degree by taking a minor from a wide range of other leading academic disciplines. Many of our students gain international industry experience through an accredited internship, which helps shape their education and career choice. Top 5 reasons to study this programme:

  • Gain broad understanding of all aspects of business management from a start-up phase to running and expanding a business

Modules

We offer 4-year Liberal Arts and Business BA degrees. Students entering with A levels or other level 3 qualifications usually gain exemptions from courses in the Richmond Core Curriculum which can mean that you should be able to complete your degree in less than four academic years. The interdisciplinary Liberal Arts approach offers not just breadth but also depth of study and encourages students to make sounds judgements and think independently. A Liberal Arts education is one which encourages you to explore a wide range of subjects and programmes. It reaches across disciplines, building connections between different academic areas such as literature, science, mathematics, writing, business and psychology. Upon entry to Richmond University all students study the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum before specialising in their chosen field.
