Course summary

Develop core competencies which sit at the heart of sport marketing. As part of your course, you’ll: • Gain an applied industry insight into the dynamic global sport marketplace • Build a sound theoretical and applied understanding of the subject area • Work independently and collaboratively through a range of workshops, debates, reflective tasks and authentic assessments • Enhance your industry expertise to develop the core capabilities in a range of sport market contexts • Develop valuable skills in communication, problem-solving and strategic decision making Your learning experience Practical activities will enable you to develop your expertise and become a confident marketing practitioner. These could include: • Creating marketing communication plans • Digital marketing campaigns • Brand audits • Consumer experience evaluations Your modules will cover a wide range of topics such as strategic sport marketing, sponsorship, branding, consumer insight, media and digital marketing. You’ll drive the focus of your independent project by completing an in-depth written dissertation, a business plan, or a consultancy project. You’ll work with an organisation in industry and develop your expertise in responding strategically to the changing global sport landscape. International business Sport is a global business which is becoming more unpredictable due to dynamic changes in the global landscape. This creates more challenges for marketing professionals to understand their markets and respond strategically to achieve their organisational and marketing objectives. Entry requirements

Applicants should have a second class honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. All applications should be supported by a reference, either academic or professional.
